Block development big step forward

A great article in this month’s Business North on our redevelopment project at Tauranga Girls College.

This complex project involved seismic strengthening of the existing concrete frame, improved weather-tightness and a new interior ILE upgrade, to bring the 25 year old building into line with the updated MOE design guidelines.

Lead by Andrea Boon, the project involved working closely with the faculty to develop a school led design brief and ensure the design met their pedagogy requirements. The project also incorporates a cultural narrative, which the project team worked with local Iwi to develop.

After navigating the storms of Covid, the project is now on site, due to be completed towards the end of the year. Check it out on pages 118-119.
